The joys of commuting

Although I work in tech, at a cloud hosting company to be precise, it is not allowed to work remotely fulltime.

So several times a week I join the flood of commuters, heading to the next big city in our region. But unlike many the next big city is not my commuting destination. Once I reached this city, I have two options. Either traverse through the center of said big city, or follow the highway and driving through a part of the highway system with an even higher traffic occurence.
Traffic induced delay may sum up to about 2 hours.

This is about why I decided to create a blog

The internet is full off people communicating their opinions and learning’s to the world. You could assume there are already enough opinions out there. And you may be right.

But for me this serves multiple purposes, beside communicating what I think.
My writing skills are far from perfect and even more when using a foreign language. You have probably already noticed, I am not a native English speaker. So creating this blog in English is both an exercise and a challenge for me.

At my day job, I am employed by a small German cloud hosting company.
I am part of the so called “technic team”, responsible for any technical aspects. Some parts of the team are more heavy on the operational side, my focus is mainly in development and information security.
